Naga Chaitanya’s Savyasachi was expected to do well at the cinemas and it did generate decent openings on Day 1. But, the film seems to be going the down lane, thanks to an unimpressive work by director Chandoo Mondeti. With an interesting concept of a vanishing twin syndrome, the film released amidst high expectations but the plot seems to have gone for a toss. The audience aren’t able to gel with the story line and it’s screenplay.
Chandoo’s earlier films Karthikeya and Premam did their jobs well at the cinemas and the same was expected from Savyasachi. Madhavan’s presence created good buzz too but the film is fizzling out at the ticket windows.
This would be the first debacle for Mythri Movie Makers who have till now basked in glory with hits in Srimanthudu, Janata Garage and Rangastalam. Looks like the woes are not ending anytime soon for Naga Chaitanya, as after a hit in Rarandoi Veduka Chudham, he has seen three failures in Yuddham Sharanam, Sailaja Reddy Alludu and now, Savyasachi.
