Actor Vikram’s recent release Saamy (Saamy Square in Tamil) released amidst much fanfare last Friday. Featuring Keerthi Suresh as the female lead, Saamy was expected to start off well but the mouth talk has been disappointing that the same has spread in it’s numbers.
The first installment titled Saamy (2003) was a big commercial hit for Vikram and the same was remade as Lakshmi Narasimha in Telugu with Nandamuri Balakrishna. The sequel to it, Saamy, has been directed by Hari, who is known for the Yamudu and Singham series.
Vikram’s bad run at the box office continues yet again as his Saamy has failed to win the hearts of the public. The loud and lousy script is receiving flak from all corners. Music by Devi Sri Prasad has also been a letdown for the movie.
Vikram hasn’t had a blockbuster hit after Aparichithudu. Though a film like Nanna gave him a push for this acting talent, films like I, Inkokadu and Sketch were disasters. It is high time an actor like Vikram gets to see a hit for himself as we all know his acting capabilities but sooner or later, numbers do matter at the Box Office!
