The date of 27th April has been buzzing around in the film industry off late. Mahesh Babu’s “Bharath Ane Nenu” and Allu Arjun’s “Naa Peru Surya Naa Illu India” were initially scheduled to release on 27th April. It is a well-known pointer in the industry circles that multiple biggies releasing on the same day face stiff competition at the ticket windows and it isn’t a good sign for their box office collections.
Keeping this in view, the makers of both the big budget films planned to release each of their films with a gap of two weeks. “Bharath Ane Nenu” preponed its release to 20th April whilst “Naa Peru Surya Naa Illu India” pushed itself further to 4th May. With these changes came a surprise from the camp of Wunderbar Films owned by Dhanush. He is bankrolling Rajnikanth’s film “Kaala” which poised itself to release on 27th April.
According to the inside sources, “Kaala” is being re-scheduled to May/June slot. With this development, “Bharath Ane Nenu” and “Naa Peru Surya Naa Illu India” will see a good two-week gap between them. We have to wait to see whether any other film takes a chance and enters on 27th April. Pass the Parcel?
